movie 2738 1Sunday, March 18, 2:00 pm: Reel Faith
Once a month, beginning in March, we will gather to watch and discuss a movie. Our hope is to explore many different types of movies and look at them from a faith prospective.

“Truly and Humbly” is the first film we are going to look at. It is a documentary on the 1986 United Church apology to Indigenous peoples. (The movie includes a short appearance by our own Rev. Kellie McComb.)

The Manitou Learning Centre says, “Truly and Humbly” traces the memories of Canada’s first apology to Indigenous people by any Canadian institution. Made in 1986 by the United Church of Canada at its General Council meeting in Sudbury, Ontario, the first apology is more than a piece of church history and a turning point for Indigenous people.”

All are Welcome to join us to view the film, followed by what we expect to be an exciting discussion.
