An invitation from MT Space to their Last 15 Seconds final and fundraiser performance on December 1st at The Registry Theatre in Kitchener.
As you know, it has been a challenging few months for us at MT Space with the sudden passing of our beloved director and founder, Majdi Bou-Matar. We are finding a way forward by using this performance at The Registry Theatre on December 1st to raise funds to continue the work that Majdi started in this community.
This month, MT Space is launching a Giving Tuesday campaign to raise funds to establish a bursary in Majdi Bou-Matar’s name. This bursary will be dedicated to offering financial support as well as mentorship from MT Space to a newcomer, immigrant, and emerging artist each year. Details of the bursary will roll out in the new year with a goal of naming the first recipient at MT Space’s biennial international festival, IMPACT 23.
I ask for your help in continuing Majdi’s impact and making a contribution to the bursary fund in his honour. If you are able, gather with us to experience The Last 15 Seconds followed by a home-cooked Middle Eastern meal, or make a contribution of any amount through CanadaHelps.
If I learned anything through mentoring with Majdi, it is that our greatest and most valuable resource is our community. Thank you for the support and love you have given to MT Space so far.
