Important Congregational Meeting

A Congregational meeting has been called for Sunday, October 25, 2026, following our Sunday Worship.

This meeting has a single purpose: deciding on a pathway forward for First United Church.

The options under consideration were explained on September 13 following worship and in sessions held since, that the congregation was invited to attend.

At the meeting you will be asked, by secret ballot, to choose one of the following pathes for First United:

  1. Planned closure

  2. Collaboration or beginning discussions on amalgamation

  3. Rightsizing and renewal

There is another session to discuss this on October 18 following our Church Service.
