Last Saturday, January 17, Hilliard Hall was once again transformed into a vibrant hub of creativity, music, and connection. If you walked past the doors, you might have heard the strumming of guitars or the joyful hum of a community coming together—and if you stepped inside, you certainly would have felt the warmth.
It was a true celebration of "Messy Church" in every sense. From the concentration on faces as children and adults alike engineered DNA structures out of red licorice and marshmallows, to the wonder of creating glittering blue sensory bottles, the room was alive with discovery. We even saw some delicious experiments with Oreos that didn't stay on the table for very long!
One of the highlights of the gathering was our wonderful collaboration with the Trillium Lutheran Church Music Team. Their energy was infectious, leading us in song and movement that brought everyone—from our youngest toddlers to our seniors—into the circle.
A massive thank you to our incredible volunteers and everyone who helped set up, clean up, and facilitate the fun. Messy Church program reminds us that church is about being together in the beautiful "mess" of community.
We are already looking forward to the next one!
