Kitchen Conversations with the Moderator Join us this Lent for Kitchen Conversations with the Moderator, a six-part video series exploring faith, food, and the power of invitation, hosted by The Right Rev. Dr. Kimberly Heath.

Youth Board Game Night

  • Date: February 11th at Parkminster United Church.
  • We'd love to invite you to join us for a fun and relaxed board game night.
  • We'll be coming together to reflect on Black History Month, share some of our lived experiences, and learn from one another in a meaningful way.
  • Since we didn't get a chance to finish our games last week, we'll also be picking those back up.
  • Future Dates: March 4th, March 11th.

New Fundraiser: Art Prints

  • Some of you may have seen the watercolour prints of First United Church by artist Debbie Ellis. Debbie has agreed to support sales of the prints as a fundraiser for First United Church.
  • You will have the opportunity to purchase blank greeting cards or matted prints ($8x10" or $11x14").
  • To place your order see the display in Hilliard Hall on February 1 and February 8 or contact Joan Westcott at handatfirst@gmail.com.

Financial & Administrative

Contributions

  • Methods: PAR, Etransfer to firstunitedchurch@rogers.com, Website donation (www.firstunitedchurch.ca), or cheque.
  • Cheques: Can be dropped off at the church mailbox (William Street entrance) or mailed to 16 William St. West, Waterloo ON N2L 1J3.
  • Payable to: FIRST UNITED CHURCH
  • Credit Card Fee: Companies charge a fee of around 3-5%. If you wish First to get the full amount, please add that percentage to your contribution.

Receipts & Envelopes

  • 2025 Receipts: Receipts not picked up were mailed on February 5.
  • 2026 Envelopes: Contact the office at 519-745-8487 Ext 201 or email office@firstunitedchurch.ca if you would like pre-printed envelopes.
  • PAR Update: Due to a system upgrade, changes to PAR contributions will not be reflected in January 2026 but will take effect in February 2026.

  • Invites student residence applications for the 2026-27 academic year.

Ontario Mennonite Music Camp (OMMC)

  • Registration is now open! Running from August 16-28, 2026.

Menno Singers Family of Choirs

  • Event: Mid-Winter Hymn Sing (re-scheduled).
