On Sunday June 22, we learned from Amy Smoke of the need for funds to support the Willow River Centre, the only Indigenous, two-spirit and queer-led non-profit organization in Waterloo Region, a gathering place which has provided space for healing, organizing, and cultural resurgence for those most often pushed to the margins.
Monday, July 7th at 5 pm at the Victoria Park Pavilion there will be a fundraiser in support of the Willow River Centre – a night of raffles, auctions, prizes, and shared food.
